With the closing of the 2009 Spring-Summer 2009 international runway shows, fashion bible Vogue has seen and compiled what will be next year’s hottest accessories.

Headgear

Spring-Summer 09 runway shows featured various head accessories. For 2009, make sure to get your hand on hats or head scarves or other head accessory. Vogue suggests Louis Vuitton ponytail tubes.

Colors

Gold

Gold seems to be the color favored (not just for accessories but for dresses as well) during the spring-summer fashion shows. Make sure to get something gold for next season, not just jewelry but other accessories too, including gold tone bags, shoes, hair pieces, etc.

Green

Green was another favorite color during the Spring-Summer 2009 runway shows. Make sure to get some green into your accessories drawer by spring next year.

Blue

Blue is another color that frequented 2009 spring-summer runways.

Yellow

Brighten your look for 2009 by getting your hands on some fabulous yellow accessories such as bags and shoes.

Nudes

On the other end of spectrum, some designers favored nude, instead of bright colors. Make nude another accessory color.

Bags

If you want to get with the program, opt for long strapped bags that are slung across the body. For more girly or formal bags, opt for the teeny-tiny, squishy (and really expensive) ones. Check out bag collections from Prada, Miu Miu, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

Some of the favored materials or canvasses for bags are snakeskin, and even a bit of metallic leather.

Earrings

Next year’s earing trends favor big ones. Think really, really huge ones. The favored look appears to be tribal. So get yourself a huge, tribal pair.

Necklaces

Like earrings, the recently concluded runways shows favored the really, really big, really, really intricate ones.

Decades

Eighties

Some designers seem hellbent on bringing the eighties back. Conjure up memories of your 80s accessories. Perhaps you can resurrect some from your secret stash.

Seventies

Another favorite decade to get inspiration from. The seventies feel was also all over the runways. Don’t forget your plaids and of course, your huge sunglasses.

Twenties

The twenties were another source of inspiration for the 2009 spring-summer catwalks. Bring back to life your mom’s or grandma’s chunky 20’s accessories.

Fabulous Heels

Killer heels are a given. They should be part of every fashionista’s wardrobe. Next spring, go for the really high (really killer) ones. Think Prada.
