Getting Married in Japan

The couple must give notice to this office of their intent beforehand. Any additional services at church or temple can be performed after the civil wedding.

For any wedding in Japan it is wise to contact the Japanese embassy in your own country & your consulate or embassy in Japan. All documents must be translated into Japanese.
