Louis Vuitton Monogram Limelight African Queen Clutch

When hard-partying, rehab frequenter and friends-of-celebs designer Marc Jacob took his love for all things Parisian and mixed it with some African flavor, we knew we something – or a lot of things – good is/were going to come out of his Spring-Summer 2009 collection.

As for the collection’s add-ons, it was accessories galore. The tribal-art inspired jewelry pieces and shoes were fairly conspicuous and, as Style.com put it "loaded" enough. But is was the handbags that really caught he eye. Case in point: the African Queen Clutch.

If the name isn’t enough to make you feel regal, read on: the African Queen emblematic clutch is made of monogram limelight wool, silk and polyester, and natural cowhide trimmings.

It is embellished with golden brass pieces, resin and metal pompons that hint at the collection’s African theme, and of course the the LV Inventeur golden brass-on-wood plaque.

The inside is lined with silk and viscose. It also has it has one inside zipped pocket to stow away your Black Berry or lipstick.

The clutch has a magnetic top closure, a golden brass eyelet detail, and black drawstring to create volume. It’s dimensions are 13.4" x 7.1" x 1.2", easy enough to hand carry.

The Monogram Limelight African Queen comes in two colors, Gold and Bronze and available in Louis Vuitton Boutiques and flagship stores for $1,530.
