Holiday Hair Styles

Together with a good winter makeup, doing your hair during the holidays can be a daunting task especially if you have no idea what look to go for. Here are some splendid tips you can do during these stressful yet fun weeks.

For straight, medium-length hair – Wash your hair and blow it until a bit damp. Twist the hair into a low bun (don’t worry about the few unkempt strands). Once you are near the party, untie the bun and you would have some gorgeous waves then spray it with purse-size hair spray. You could also do the other way around: blow drying your hair and let it down during the day, then twisting it into a bun in the evening.

For curly, long hair – Go for the "unkempt" look. Let your hair air-dry in the morning after washing it, then twist ringlets in place using your fingers. Pull your hair up in a modern version of a French twist or messy bun. Another way is to pull your hair on the sides towards the back, and clip in place with a fancy clip. This look shows off you long curly lock while emphasizing your face as well.

For short hair – Curl your hair in the morning, then retouch your curls with a curling iron and hair spray as you go to a party. You can do this in your office bathroom. If you don’t have a curling iron, add some body to your short hair by combing and holding it in place with a bit of hairspray. The accessory of choice? The headband!
