Having long eyelashes could make you the envy of many, as long as the lashes appear natural. This can be achieved by applying mascara, but creating long lashes is not just about brush the mascara over the lashes. Here are some neat tricks to get those long, thick, and beautiful eyelashes.
Make sure your face is dry – If you are using liquid foundation or face lotion, wait for your face to dry completely before putting eye concealer, then followed by a light powder to prevent leaking and smudging.
Start curling – Grab an eyelash curler and press onto your lashes as close to the root. Then, while still holding the curler, tilt it up a little more to emphasize the curl. Repeat the process two to three times. If your eye leashes have a hard time curling, heat the curler for a few seconds using a hairdryer.
Choose the right mascara – Not all mascaras are created the same. Make sure that you are using mascara that thickens or lengthens your lashes. Never shake or pump the mascara brush, so the contents would not dry up easily. As you place the brush underneath the upper lashes, wiggle it from side to side before brushing straight up through the ends. Apply two to three coats on each lash.
Comb it out – Use an eyelash comb to separate the lashes and avoid clumping. To prevent smudging, apply a coat of waterproof mascara on the top lashes.
Swipe it low – Swipe the mascara brush at the bottom lashes. You can also consider using fake lashes and place them on the outer corner of the eyes.
