Forget your out-of-bed look. This hairstyle’s a lot messier than that – messy in a sexy, stylishly bohemian sort of way.
At Ruffian’s Spring 2009 fashion show, the models’ tresses were styled to look "decidedly frizzy."
But for all the lightsomeness it exudes, stylist Neil Moodie admits that creating them took some effort.
To create this look, Moodie sprayed a heat-protecting moisturizing spray on dry hair, and then rough-dried them to bring out their natural texture.
He then twisted 15-20 small braids around the crown, beginning two inches from the roots, leaving an inch at the ends.
Next, he applied generous amounts of Bb. Hair Powder on the plaits to add grit and volume.
Moodie then undid the braids, tousled and teased the tresses at the crown. To finish, he sprayed on Bb. Shine Spray to add luster movement.
